When tasked with designing an exclusive collection for Havertys, the Lauren Ralph Lauren team does what it always does – they created a “movie” – one complete with a plot, setting and characters.

THE PLOT: In order to piece multiple furniture items together under one umbrella, the Lauren Ralph Lauren team started by illustrating the story they wanted to tell- a story of southern tradition, rich in heritage and acquired treasures.

THE SETTING: When searching for perfect place to inspire the direction for the furniture line, the Lauren Ralph Lauren team tumbled upon Eufaula, AL. The idyllic town is positioned alongside the Chattahoochee River and adjacent to a beautiful lake.

If you visit Eufaula, you might wind your way through a shaded road draped with Spanish moss, which will lead you to a white antebellum house. Here you’ll experience Southern enchantment blanketed in natural beauty- the same beauty that inspired Willowwood Road. There is a quiet sense of seclusion that can only be found among the willow trees in this area. The names of each piece were chosen to tie to this distinct backdrop.
