Cookouts, slip n’ slides, watermelon, fireworks.
Of course we must be talking about the 4th of July, Independence Day. This year, the patriotic holiday is on a Wednesday. Even though your festivities may have a weeknight curfew, it doesn’t mean you can’t entertain without fun and fashion! Here are some ideas for hosting an Independence Day soiree:
• To begin with the obvious, no July 4th celebration would be complete without a spread of red, white and blue. Table cloths, napkins, cups and plates are just enough. Mix in some yellow touches, like florals in a blue vase, for that summery vibe.
• Every Independence Day needs the culinary essentials! Hot dogs, watermelon, blue & red popsicles for the kids and any other “summertime food” is sure to please!
• Sparklers! Grab some of these festive hand-held fireworks and have fun watching them flicker in the night sky.
